Vieworks’ onboarding flow makes use of interactive design
Vieworks onboards new users with an interactive walkthrough that highlights each step and waits for them to fill in real details, like a company name.
At the time of the recording, Vieworks started new users on an interactive walkthrough. Tooltips highlight one part of the screen at a time on a dimmed background: going back to the dashboard, clicking Create seat, entering a company or brand name, entering it again for the campaign URL and uploading a logo. On input steps, the tooltip says "Fill input to proceed" until the user types something. Each tooltip has a step counter and a thin progress bar.
Why it works
✅ Interactive: the walkthrough doesn't just show users around; it has them complete real setup tasks, like entering their company name, as they go.
✅ Progress shown two ways: a step counter and a subtle horizontal progress bar on every tooltip tell users how far along they are.
✅ Highlighting: Vieworks darkens the background just enough for the relevant part of the screen to stand out.
