Chameleon is good for

Product and Feature Adoption:
Chameleon provides product tours and in-app messages to engage with the right users at the right time; to ensure they’re getting the most out of your platform and are adopting all the different features.

Great Customizability:
The customization options that Chameleon provides are endless. You can either design your own modals and tooltips via CSS or get help from the Chameleon team in exchange for a price.

Chameleon is bad for

Steep Learning Curve:
Chameleon promises to be a no-code tool, but the options for non-technical people are limited and technical knowledge is crucial to benefit fully from the product.

Above-Average Pricing:
Compared to user onboarding and feature adoption platform software market average, Chameleon’s pricing is more expensive than most, and it costs even more to get decent technical help.

"Good tool but difficult to use"

The interface still feels quite clunky whenever I'm in build mode. For instance, I don't like that I have to use markdown and CSS when formatting text instead of having an inline styling menu to select from.

"Decent for micro-surveys"

I can quickly get a micro-survey out to a targeted audience—or field it to folks who have taken a certain on-site action. This makes it great for gathering quick feedback from our customers about specific parts of our product.

”Not the easiest tool to get used to”

An issue I've run into is that some of the copy is a bit confusing on how to actually interact with the elements that Chameleon provides which sometimes leaves me feeling frustrated.
