Twitter uses slideout modals to onboard users to its new feature, spaces.

Twitter uses slideout modals to onboard users to its new feature, spaces. The onboarding features two different slideout modals as well as hotspot on the space creation page for further user questions.

Why it’s great:

Long copy, good formatting - Although Twitter doesn’t do a step-by-step onboarding flow for its new feature Spaces, the formatting of the slideout modal is well ordered and creates a reading hierarchy that users won’t just skip.

Fun icons and images - Another point that makes Twitter’s slideout modal digestible is the use of a fun Twitter bird illustration and colorful icons.

Hotspots for clarification - It is hard to explain it all when you opt to explain in one go. Twitter uses hotspots within the Space creation interface to clarify any missed points.
