In its nature, World of Wonders is a game with many menus and widgets. So, to make it easier for users to navigate through the game app, there are red hotspots used wherever the player needs to check.

✅ Right use of UX pattern - Instead of a tooltip or a fully-fledged modal, WoW uses a hotspot pattern to serve as a reminder for the users, which is the perfect pattern for the job.

✅ Not too annoying - While many hotspot beacons are quite annoying to users with their pulsing, WoW uses the color contrast to make the hotspots pop and not annoy users.

✅ Not overdone  - The game also uses hotspots in very specific places and doesn’t overuse them within menus. This helps keep things organized for the users.
