Slack’s confirmation popup window is necessary but fun

Slack makes sure to double-check with its users about sharing files with third parties in a fun way.

Slack’s confirmation modal features a fun illustration of a confused messenger pigeon, an edit button, and a send button, as well as a “don’t ask me this again” box. Though this is not directly an onboarding UX, it is a good example of UX that onboards users to separate functions along the way.

Why it’s great:

Right UX element used - A full-screen modal makes sure to get the user’s attention fully to ensure more safety.

Fun illustration - The illustration prevents blind skipping and helps continue the Slack branding.

Good options - Adding a do not show again button is a necessity for many onboarding UX elements, but it works for this type of UX as well.
