Figma’s announcement modal is crystal clear
Figma announces a better copy and paste with a bright modal that names three new paste features in bold and links to a playground to try them.
At the time of the screenshot, Figma announced changes to copy and paste with an announcement modal over the open file. A bright yellow banner with purple "Copy + Paste" keys sits above the heading "Introducing a better copy and paste" and a single paragraph that names three new features in bold: paste here, paste to replace and multi-paste. Each comes with the problem it solves ("Need to paste precisely? Try paste here."). An Explore playground button invites users to try them.
Why it works
- Eye-catching: the yellow and purple banner contrasts sharply with the blue canvas and grey panels, so the announcement is hard to miss or dismiss without reading.
- Copy done right: the heading and paragraph form a clear hierarchy, and bolding the feature names makes a longish paragraph easy to skim.
- Explanatory: each feature is introduced with the problem it solves, so users who don’t have time for the playground still learn what’s new.
